Vietbeauty & Cosmobeauté Vietnam & Beautycare Plus 2026 ran from 23 to 25 July 2026 at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City, and it was the largest edition the show has staged. Organised by Informa Markets Vietnam, the combined event booked a record 17,600 sqm and brought together more than 750 exhibitors from 25 countries and regions, representing over 3,500 brands. For anyone sourcing cosmetics manufacturing in Southeast Asia, the interesting part was not the floor size — it was how much of the floor had shifted from finished product to supply chain.

Vietbeauty & Cosmobeauté Vietnam 2026 in short

Vietbeauty & Cosmobeauté Vietnam & Beautycare Plus 2026 was Vietnam's largest international beauty trade exhibition, held 23–25 July 2026 at SECC, Ho Chi Minh City, with 750+ exhibitors from 25 countries, 3,500+ brands and a record 17,600 sqm of floor space. The defining change this year was the weight given to the supply chain: the co-located Beautycare Plus zone covered ingredients, packaging, OEM/ODM manufacturing and private label, alongside a new livestream-commerce zone. The next edition is scheduled for 29–31 July 2027 at the same venue.

Key takeaways

  • Dates and venue: 23–25 July 2026, Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center, 799 Nguyen Van Linh, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City.
  • Scale: a record 17,600 sqm, 750+ exhibitors from 25 countries and regions, 3,500+ brands — the organiser's largest Vietnam edition to date.
  • Supply chain took a bigger share of the floor. Beautycare Plus ran as a dedicated zone for ingredients, packaging, OEM/ODM manufacturing and private label production, rather than as a side aisle.
  • Commerce came onto the show floor. The new Cosmobeauté Live Zone, run with e-commerce partner ZAFAGO, turned exhibitor booths into livestream selling positions.
  • Compliance was on the main stage, not in a side room. Beauté Talks 2026 gave a full slot to product notification, ingredient documentation and intellectual property.
  • Sustainability moved from slogan to structure with the launch of a Green Spa Club and an electric-mobility partnership for the event itself.

Who this recap is for

This is written for brand owners, distributors and sourcing managers who did not attend but need to know what changed — particularly Malaysian and other ASEAN companies weighing whether Vietnam is a market to sell into, a place to manufacture, or both. It is an editorial recap compiled from the organiser's published materials and event photography, not a sales report; where a figure is a projection rather than an audited result, it is labelled as such.

What is Vietbeauty & Cosmobeauté Vietnam?

Vietbeauty & Cosmobeauté Vietnam is Vietnam's largest international beauty trade exhibition, organised by Informa Markets Vietnam and staged annually in Ho Chi Minh City. It sits inside the wider Cosmoprof ASEAN network of fairs, which also includes Cosmoprof CBE ASEAN in Bangkok and Cosmobeauté Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur, so exhibitors and buyers tend to circulate between them across a season.

The show covers the full beauty spectrum: cosmetics, skincare, aesthetic equipment, nail, hair, spa and plastic-surgery solutions. Since 2025 it has run alongside Beautycare Plus, a co-located supply-chain event, and the two are now marketed and walked as a single show. Our recap of the 2025 edition is a useful baseline for what has changed year on year.

Inside the 2026 edition: the numbers

The 2026 edition was the biggest the organiser has run in Vietnam. Here is how the published figures compare with the show's own stated targets.

Context for those numbers: the organiser cites market forecasts putting Vietnam's cosmetics and personal care industry at USD 2.7 billion by 2027, growing at a compound annual rate of about 3.3 percent. That is a mid-sized market growing steadily rather than explosively — which is precisely why the sourcing side of the show matters more than the headline square metres.

Beautycare Plus and the OEM/ODM sourcing story

The most consequential change at the 2026 edition was structural: Beautycare Plus ran as a dedicated beauty supply-chain zone covering ingredients, packaging, OEM/ODM manufacturing and private label production, deliberately positioned to connect international suppliers with Vietnamese partners.

OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing) means a factory produces a formulation to the brand owner's specification; ODM (Original Design Manufacturing) means the factory supplies its own developed formula, which the brand owner adopts and labels. Private label sits close to ODM but usually starts from an existing catalogue product. The distinction matters at a show like this because the three models put very different demands on documentation, minimum order quantities and lead time — and a supply-chain hall lets a buyer compare all three in an afternoon.

ModelWho owns the formulaTypical use at a show like this
OEMBrand ownerBrands with an existing formula seeking capacity, a second source, or a lower landed cost
ODMManufacturerBrands wanting speed to market on a proven base formula, with claims already substantiated
Private labelManufacturer (catalogue)Retailers and new entrants testing a category before committing to development spend

The Buyer Programme layered onto this with structured one-to-one B2B matching sessions between exhibitors and distributors, retailers and investors — the mechanism that turns a hall full of stands into scheduled meetings.

One genuinely new addition sat alongside it. The Cosmobeauté Live Zone, launched with Vietnamese e-commerce and livestream specialist ZAFAGO, gave exhibitors a managed livestream commerce setup with access to beauty KOLs and KOCs and TikTok Shop selling during the show. Whatever one thinks of livestream selling, its arrival as official show infrastructure is a signal: in this market, distribution conversations and content conversations are no longer separable.

Beauté Talks 2026: what the speakers actually said

Beauté Talks 2026 ran on 24 July in Hall B1 under the theme "The Future of Beauty: Shaping the Next Generation of Leading Brands". Four themes came out of it that are worth carrying home.

Consumer behaviour is now a multi-touchpoint problem. Long Le, Head of Retail Vietnam at NielsenIQ, presented data showing beauty continuing to grow despite mixed consumer sentiment, with growth driven substantially by Korea and China, and a purchase journey now spread across search, social, KOL and KOC content, marketplaces and modern retail.

Compliance is a growth input, not overhead. Lawyer Do Van Luan of L&P Law Firm addressed intellectual property protection, ingredient information control and product notification procedures, arguing that proactive compliance protects IP and opens markets rather than merely reducing risk. That maps directly onto how cosmetics are regulated in Vietnam: products are placed on the market through a notification route administered by the Drug Administration of Vietnam under the Ministry of Health, within the ASEAN Cosmetic Directive framework that also underpins Malaysia's NPRA notification system. A brand that has its ingredient documentation and safety assessment in order in one ASEAN market is materially closer to being ready in the others.

Brand-building has moved past product quality. Phan Dieu Huyen, Chief Operating Officer of M.O.I Cosmetics, framed a strong brand as one that builds durable trust through consistency, safety and user experience — not one that wins on a single hero product.

Retail buyers are underwriting suppliers, not just products. Bart Verheyen told the room that modern retailers increasingly assess a supplier's long-term growth potential, including how they handle packaging, operations and sustainability requirements. Le Tran Minh Tuan Tu of MBB Solutions covered the unglamorous other half: automation and warehouse-management optimisation.

The sustainability thread: Green Spa Club and Green SM

Sustainability at trade shows is usually a panel and a tote bag. This edition put two more concrete things on the record.

First, the seminar "Green Transformation – Sustainable Spa Business", organised by Informa Markets Vietnam with the Ho Chi Minh City Association for Nature and Environment Protection (HANE) and Ho Chi Minh City College of Technology, ended with the launch of a Green Spa Club under HANE — a standing network for spa operators, trainers and suppliers working on water and energy use, waste sorting, product and chemical selection, hygiene standardisation and staff training. Nguyen Toan Thang, HANE's Standing Vice Chairman, spoke on green transformation in the beauty industry.

Second, the show itself partnered with Green SM, Vietnam's pure-electric mobility platform, offering discounted electric transport to exhibitors, buyers and pre-registered visitors. It is a small measure, but it is the kind of operational detail that turns up later in a retailer's supplier questionnaire.

What ASEAN brand owners should do with this

Three practical reads for anyone who did not walk the floor.

1. Treat Vietnam as a two-way market. The old framing — Vietnam as a place to sell finished imported product — is only half the picture now that OEM/ODM and packaging capacity is being marketed on the same floor. If your category is price-sensitive, run a landed-cost comparison between manufacturing in Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand before assuming your current base is optimal.

2. Get your dossier portable before you shop for a factory. The single most common reason a promising show meeting stalls is that the buyer cannot produce a complete ingredient list, safety assessment and claims substantiation in a form the manufacturer can work from. Prepare it once, in ASEAN Cosmetic Directive format, and it travels.

3. Ask about livestream and content capability explicitly. If the show has made livestream commerce official infrastructure, your distributor and your manufacturer will both be asked about it. Know whether your packaging, claims and stock model can survive a livestream demand spike before you promise one.

Frequently asked questions

When and where was Vietbeauty & Cosmobeauté Vietnam 2026 held?

It ran from 23 to 25 July 2026 at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC), 799 Nguyen Van Linh, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, organised by Informa Markets Vietnam. The 2027 edition is scheduled for 29–31 July 2027 at the same venue.

Is Vietbeauty a trade-only show or open to the public?

It is positioned as a business-to-business trade exhibition. The organiser's stated audience is distributors, manufacturers, OEM/ODM providers, spa and clinic owners, dermatologists and industry professionals, and the supporting programme — the Buyer Programme, Beauté Talks and the supply-chain zone — is built for trade rather than retail visitors. Confirm entry conditions with the organiser before travelling.

Is Vietbeauty worth attending for OEM or private-label sourcing?

It is worth attending if Vietnam or ASEAN is a target manufacturing base or sales market, because the co-located Beautycare Plus zone concentrates ingredients, packaging, OEM/ODM and private-label suppliers in one place. It is less efficient if you only need one narrow ingredient category, where a specialist ingredients fair will give better depth. Go with a written brief and a complete product dossier, or the meetings will not convert.

How do cosmetics get approved for sale in Vietnam?

Cosmetic products are placed on the Vietnamese market through a product notification route administered by the Drug Administration of Vietnam under the Ministry of Health, operating within the ASEAN Cosmetic Directive framework rather than a pre-market approval licence. Requirements, documentation and timelines change, so confirm the current procedure with the regulator or a Vietnamese regulatory consultant before committing to a launch date.

Sources, scope and limitations

Scope: this recap covers the 2026 edition only, and is compiled from the organiser's own published announcements and post-event reports, its official photography, and the Cosmoprof network listing. It is not a survey of exhibitors and it does not rank or evaluate any company that exhibited.

Limitations to note. The exhibitor, brand and floor-area figures are the organiser's own published numbers and have not been independently audited. The 15,000 trade-visitor figure was published as a projection ahead of the show; no audited post-event attendance figure had been released when this article was written, so it should be read as a target rather than a result. The market-size forecast quoted (USD 2.7 billion by 2027, 3.3 percent CAGR) is cited by the organiser and is not our own modelling. The photographs are the organiser's official event images, reproduced with credit and a link to the source gallery; they show the conference and seminar programme rather than the full exhibition floor. Trend commentary reflects what was presented on stage, not measured market outcomes.
